Is the implementation of picture-in-picture (split screen) planned?

Split-screen or picture in picture? They are two different things, actually.

Implementation is not so important. In the end I would like to watch the video and read the news simultaneously.

At least split screen was planned and promised and paid for in 2014... So I guess it'll be ready "soon".

@Ilya so you mean picture-in-picture (TV style).

@tortoisedoc acvtually what he wants is doable with both PiP and split screen. I don't see the value of PiP on a mobile device, though. Its use case is very much confined to video streams. Split screen can be used with just any app, including video.
