Firefox 57 takes long for 1st page
I started using FF57 on my Jolla 1 some weeks ago and have this annoying behaviour that loading the 1st website takes far too long. Maybe 15sec or so, the progress bar just stops for that time. Visiting any other or the same page a little later everything works great. This is regardless of being on WiFi or 3G or LTE. This is regardless of what that 1st page is, even opening a simple search engine like duckduckgo takes that long.
I waited for an update (57.0.0.4) but nothing changed. I turned off all the "recomendations" on the startup page. As far as I can tell, there are no addons installed. I was using firefox before with lower versions and never had that. So is there anybody with the same experience or an idea about it?
UPDATE (6th of febr 2018): shortly ago there was an update to V58.0.1 and it seems to be much better...
It's been happening to me too, on my Jolla 1.

I also have addons that don't always load in Alien but do in Android 7 proper. e.g https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/android_scroll_bottom/ I have to disable-enable them to get the context menu item. I was wondering if the addon manager, which runs on loading to check for updates, was responsible.

Just updated to 58. Same problem: initial tab unusable. I don't reload previous tabs, so it should be about:home. Open another tab, close the first, all OK.
Might or might not be the same problem as in the question.

I do have tracking protection on.
I saw this behaviour in Fx56 on proper Android, but not on 57. It's only on JollaC/Alien I see it all the time. But different graphics/rendering. I think this is a Firefox bug.
