I looks like the camera app does not add latitude and longitude coordinates to the EXIF data of taken photos. Is there a setting to enable it, should it work or is just not there (yet)?

Yes, I have in settings enabled "Location" and "High-accuracy positioning". The GPS Info app shows quite accuarate latitude and longitude coordinates.
