Any idea how to start fingerprint daemon on SailfishX? [answered]

Hei,

I have been tinkering around in my SailfishX and I found an interesting item in CSD: All tests > Fingerprint sensor.

Of course I tried it. And yes, it failed. The fingerprint daemon did not respond in time.

Anyone any idea how this daemon could be summoned? ;)

Kiitos,

LVPVS over.

The device has "hw feature: fingerprint sensor" -> The CSD test is made available.

As the required sw support for the feature does not exist yet -> The test will fail.

For the Turingphone the fingerprint software part was made awailable via update. So there is a possibility to implement this feature. But maybe it is not planned yet. Is it complicated to migrate the softwarepart to xperia hardware? Or do you have to write the code from scratch?

SailfishX uses more or less standard android fp hal while Turing has completely custom fingerprint hal -> while some parts of the existing code can be reused in some form, all hal access code needs to be rewritten from scratch and behavioral/signaling differences cause ripples all the way up to ui level.

Should the test work now with 2.2.0.29 EA?
