Dear Jolla devs,

i know that Alien Dalvik is a 3rd party software. But could you please provide the full package that is known as "Android Support"? It is essential to get a rooted Android on jolla for a full "Android experience". Also many apps requires "Settings" that are not available in the current Alien Dalvik build.

I would like to take a look at the package. And other developers would like to do so, too.

Unfortunately Android compatibility layer is not part of Sailfish OS, and will only be available on Jolla-devices because of licensing issues. Which also means that rpm package cannot be publically distributed (thats why its in restricted repository).

you can enable the developer mode and ssh.(see settings developer mode) Then you can just scp /opt/alien/ over to your computer(*nix/osx see bellow else use something like filezilla with sftp).

scp -r nemo@<phone ip>:/opt/alien/ .

That should give you all the needed files

Actually we already have a full root access in Dalvik, you can try the app "Android Terminal Emulator" you will be connected as root and do whatever you want (create a file in / for instance)...

Thats true, the su binary is there, but the problem is,that many android apps, which need root access, doesn't recognise Jolla C / Xperia X as rootede device.

Even Installation of the superuser.apk brings nothing. @coderus alredy tried to make the same root package (like avaiable for Jolla 1), but was not successful.. :(
