Battery life on Xperia X (esp. vs Xperia X Android)

Hi there,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this. It's my first question.

I had always been interested in Sailfish but never thought it would suit my needs until now. The only Sailfish OS phone that was official (so that if could run Android apps) that met my spec requirements was the Turing Phone, but it was and still is way out of my budget.

Now that the Xperia X can officially run Sailfish, I'm very eager to try it out.

My question to you all is, what is the battery life like with very heavy usage? Let's say, 2 hours of screen-on time commuting to work, maybe an hour during the day of screen on time with 4 hours of listening to music, then another 2 hours more of screen on time going home. Will I get home with any battery left?

I have a friend with an Xperia X running Android, and he's given me an idea of what his battery life is like. So, if you had an Xperia X running Android, and then installed Sailfish, if you could let me know whether battery life increased or decreased, that would be great!

Much appreciated :)

Battery live is very good. I've not used it extensively on Android , but on Sailfish it's better then my other Android phones that have similar battery capacity.

Imo the battery life on Sailfish is better than on Android. I guess on Android there is more traffic in the background.

I get two days easily from X, charging at end of day two at about 20%.

I'm not on it as much as your use case, but would think it would easily last the day.

I have 2 Xs. One is running Sailfish X and the other - Oreo. X with Sailfish has Dalvik and Google services installed. It lasts for 2 days easily. Oreo is much hungrier for the battery juice.
