Google Authenticator / GAuth ?

I need to have a Google Authenticator app (for two-factor login into Gitlab). Does someone know how and/or if I can get this functionality?

There was one mention about a GAuth sailfish app, but I didn't find details. In the Aptoid store there is a 'Google Authenticator' app, but I'm not sure if that app is 'good' and behaving well.

Hope that someone can help me. Otherwise I'm forced to use (and carry around) an old Android phone :-(

You need an OTP (One-Time-Password) app, like SailOTP. Its found in the jolla store.

Note that most two-factor logins with a mobile "app" are using "RFC 6238 - TOTP: Time-based One-time Password Algorithm" or "RFC 4226 - HOTP: An HMAC-Based One-Time Password Algorithm". Most common sites work with SailOTP or in Android with FreeOTP. I think it is stupid that everyone and their mom have their own app that does exactly the same thing. Then you needlessly have different apps for Google, Microsoft etc. Instead, the sites should advertise that they are using a standard and tell people that any app supporting the standard will work. But some have their own implementation unfortunately. When creating a Microsoft 2FA, standard 2FA apps (OTP-based) can't scan the Microsoft QR code directly. On Microsoft's site you have to click "Configure app without notifications" (at the right of the QR code) and you will get a new QR code that works with any standard authenticator app. Another example is PayPal that have their completely differing Symantec VIP code. It is possible to import this in SailOTP using an external script (available at https://github.com/dlenski/python-vipaccess). Also Steam's 2FA is possible to import with some trickery into SailOTP.

Just to summarize. In Sailfish, use SailOTP. In Android and iOS, use FreeOTP (because they are trusted free and open source software). This for any site that use OTP-based authentication.

SailOTP is great, I prefer it to FreeOTP

Can't import Amazons token in SailOTP. It seems that the Amazon token is too long? Does anybody solved Amazon for SailOTP somehow?
