can not send sms in India [not relevant]

I am in India using Airtel.

I can do phone calls, i can receive sms, but when i want to send one, i get: Problem with sending ...

This was the case also pre 2.1.4.13

When i do switch the sim-card to AirTel - Data, i can not connect to network..

Please give details of your phone. I have used Airtel in both the J1 and Intex and there was no problem

thanks ! too late i am back in europe. can you give me your airtel settings for the next trip ?

Did you checked with your provider that the SMS message center number is correct? Go into Settings -> Apps (at the bottom, just above Accounts) -> Messages to see what the current configured number is.

Regarding the data connection, check if the correct access point data for your provider is set in Settings -> Mobile network -> Data access point.
