No email notifications [answered]

I'm not sure when this started, but for the last few days I have stopped receiving notifications about incoming emails in my notification area. Other notifications (sms, android apps, calendar) seem fine. The email app itself shows a summary of new and unread emails properly, so it is not a problem with sending / receiving email per se.
Any idea what may have happened to trigger this and how to fix it? I don't remember messing with any settings, and the only event I can think of that is unusual is that I changed my simcard (I moved to a different network) recently.
UPDATE: Apologies, I now realise this issue only happens with one of my email accounts (the work email) but not the others. I did not realise before, because my other emails have far less traffic. The work email account otherwise sends and receives email fine though, so I don't have any reason to think it's badly configured or anything like that.

Did you check if it happens only with blank screen or also with screen on?.

Obviously I don't "see" any notifications when the phone is on standby. Now that I think about it though, there have been a few times when I thought I heard a notification come in, and then I went to check in my notification area but there was nothing to be seen.

I think what you describe is the same bug. Did you check the link I posted above?
