Android app POP Avain not supported [released]
Android application "POP Avain" (fi.poppankki.avain), a Finnish banking ID and authentication utility, does not support Alien Dalvik on Sony Xperia X running SFOS 2.1.4.14. The application starts, but I get the following error message:
Translation: Using prohibited. Using POP Avain is is possible on Android and iOs [sic] platforms.
I believe that Alien Dalvik fails some check, perhaps it seems like a rooted Android or something. Is there anything that can be done, except informing the application manufacturer about the issue and hoping for a fix (or even better; a native SFOS app)?
EDIT: I think it is worth noting, that the actual banking app that lets you do transactions, called simply Mobiilipankki (fi.poppankki.mobile.bank) works just fine.
Informing the "manufacturer" won't help at all since it's so small a minority that is facing up this issue. I've talked this to Nordea too when I had Xperia X. Usually these softwares check if there are sudo libraries etc. So renaming them or masking them will usually help if the software thinks the phone is rooted
Now on XA2 and Android support 8 I haven't faced this issue so the implementations must be different than on Xperia X etc.
