Hi There! I think you must to create a dictionary app("dictionary search program") like a GoldenDict or Dictionary Universal(in iOS), which possible installing dictionaries files by your self, because now it is very important option, specially for people who studding languages or often moving around the world. In globalization times Dictionary app with own custom dict-files base is really useful! Here is some example of same apps in other platforms: 1) link text 2) link text 3) link text Wikipedia: link text

Simply try my dictionary app "Wunderfitz". You have a fast search-as-you-type interface and can import any dictionary from dict.cc

Available from Jolla Store and OpenRepos -> https://openrepos.net/content/ygriega/wunderfitz

Have fun!

It allows you to use an offline dictionary which can be downloaded at https://www1.dict.cc/translation_file_request.php?l=e. The German-English dict database needs approx. 170 MB after you've imported the dictionary.

I still not realize what sort of dictionary file need for that app, if it is only some special format for that "dict.cc", it'll be very limited and not useful if I need to work with another dictionary, but thanks anyway

You should convert this non-answer to a comment.

Regulars and newcomers use the Answer box for comments instead of using the comments box for comments, I don't think some realise the difference.

You can also use my app Swordfish (as in sWordFish) available in Store. It's strictly English.

It uses the Wordnik API, which draws definitions from several sources.
