Hi all!

I just picked up an Xperia X this week and installed Sailfish X on it. I have everything mostly up and running except for a couple of items. There are a couple of Android applications I need for work. They require my Google account to be added to the Android vm. I followed the guide to install MicroG (found here. I got MicroG set up and when I am asked to log in a dialog appears that says:

"An app on your device is trying to sign in to a Google Account.

If this was intentional, us the Sign in button to connect to Google's sign in page, if not, press Cancel to go back to the application that caused this dialog to show up."

I can't press either the "Sign in" or "Cancel" buttons. I can only press the back arrow at the button of the screen. (I would post a screen shot but I don't have enough karma points.) I'm on the latest Sailfish X release and up to date. This is basically a fresh install (only about a day old with no tweaks beyond MicroG). Has anyone encountered this? Is there any way to add my Google account to the Alien Dalvik VM?

Same for me, it's very frustrating: many apps use google-account just for profiling, backup/restore, etc. I don't care about Google Play, but google-account by mircroG it's definitely necessary.

I tried the following:

  • Signature spoofing as described here
  • F-Droid installed
  • microG Core Services (0.2.6.13280)

Same issue you described

I finally managed to do it! Here the procedure:

  • Signature spoofing as described here
  • F-Droid installed by using "standard" Dalvik Store
  • microG repository added on F-Droid as described here
  • Installed microG Core Services 0.2.4
  • Signed-in on Google-account
  • Upgraded microG Core Service 0.2.6.13280

I managed to login with Yalp store. Did logout the yalp default accout and while I installed next app with yalp it asked my credentials.

I was able to sign into the Yalp store but this did not carry through to the rest of the Dalvik vm. The other Android apps do not see my Google account. Only Yalp does. Yalp used its own login dialog rather than the services framework dialog. I suspect that is why it worked for Yalp and not the rest of the VM.

Another update: I tried installing other apps while logged into Yalp with my Google credentials and those credentials do not carry over to the installed app.
