Native Notes App Doesn't Show Linebreaks in "Thumbnails"

On Jolla 1 with 2.1.4.14 the "thumbnails" of the notes in Jolla's native notes app do not show linebreaks anymore. Affected is only the overview of all notes when opening the app. Small app display on home screen works.

This doesn't make the app literally unusable, but it's pretty hard to read now.

Expected behavior is, that all formatting like linebreaks or empty lines in notes are displayed in the "thumbnail" overview after opening the app. This worked until 2.1.3.*.

I confirm this. Pretty annoying.

Only the original Notes design worked properly. Ever since they changed it for the worse, linebreaks never worked. Duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/107939/regression-notes-active-cover-previous-was-better-119eineheminlampi/

I really hope one day whoever was responsible for this completely unnecessary change will realise how absolutely stupid they were, and revert to the old design, which was pretty much perfect.

@nthn: You didn't read my report carefully. I am explicitly not talking about everything home screen related. Even though the layout there is not as good as it could be - as you mentioned.

The issue is about the overview of all notes after opening the app.

Oh, you're right, I interpreted "thumbnails" as the app cover and then glossed over the rest a bit too quickly. I suppose the genius behind the cover redesign wanted to make the overview inside the app consistent with the lack of linebreaks on the cover.

In turn your remark about consistency might qualify as an answer... ;-)
