Home screen getting restarted on ambiance change [answered]

I have a Jolla C'fied Intex Aqua Fish 2.1.4.14. Whenever I change ambiance, the home screen is getting restarted. This is not an immediate effect of the update to 2.1.4.14 as this problem is happening only for some days. I tried changing ambiance after uninstalling all the patches but the problem persists. Any help?
That's a new problem. Not heard of this one before. Very strange.
For the homescreen to get restarted, usually takes a command (systemctl --user restart lipstick.service), you can also restart ambienced service (systemctl --user restart ambienced.service).
Perhaps to try restart the ambienced service and then try changing ambience and seeing what happens, of course you will need to user Terminal (developer mode) to use these commands.
Have you tried turning the phone off and back on, then changing ambience?.
I really am grabbing at straws here to be honest.

I'm not sure which service is getting crashed but the effects of changing ambiance are same as home screen restart as I get a black screen for some time and all the apps are getting closed while the network is working fine.

I'm running a port on Xperia X Compact, and when I set an ambience, or when I choose 'create ambience' from gallery item pull-down menu, I get a restart, (sort of like an Android 'soft reboot'). I figured something to do with running a port, and/or many patches installed, but not sure.
