Exchange calendar - removal of events not synchronized

My calendar is full of events set by other, which occassionally get cancelled. The event/meeting changes in the calendar to "Cancelled", but the remainder is played anyway. Is there any way to get rid of it? The best behaviour would be that cancelled events are automatically removed from the calendar. /M
