Touchscreen completely unresponsive (Jolla phone)

Hi.

Finally it happened. My Jolla phone dropped one time to often and now, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive. The screen is displaying everything perfectly and everything else seems to be working.

Sending it in to replace the screen is too costly for this old phone, so I tried opening it myself on the slim chance that I can do something about a problem. But I didn't come to the point of removing the main board from the screen (or vice versa?)

Any ideas what actually causes the problem of the touchscreen or any hint to disassembling the Jolla phone to the point where I need to go would be highly appreciated.

(No, I do not have much hope. Most likely I will have to buy I new smartphone)

Cheers, Andreas

FYI this happened once with my Jolla phone three years ago (only for one half of the screen). Problem solved after factory reset.

Thank you for your input, I just tried factory reset. Sadly, no success :-(

I found a teardown guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Jolla+Teardown/53435 just look for disconneced connectors and if there are none wiggle on the screen connectors until you get touch back. in the case the position the cable works in is not stable, fixate it with some tape or push it where you want by stuffing all the other space with paper.
