Dear Madam and sire, I have a Sony Xperia X Compact and I would like to install an android app. I have used the free image for the Xperia X Compact but i have also an official license for a simple Xperia X and a jolla phone. Is it possible to copy the Android support App from Jolla phone to the Xperia X Compact? Or can I flush the phone withe the official Xperia X license? Thanks for help

If you have the Xperia X with the files installed, the same files will work on X compact, but you can't officially get support for XC.

Levone1, thank for your answer. Unfortunate I have no Xperia X hardware. If I use a Xperia X image than the phone does not start. It shows only the Sony start picture. I used the same binary file (SW_binaries_for_Xperia_AOSP_M_MR1_3.10_v13_loire.img). Is this right? Thanks

Sorry, I meant just the aliendalvik files, not the whole rom... You need to flash the rom for X Compact from @steph. If you have a way to get the aliendalvik files for X, they will work on XC.

Files are proprietary, so not legally downloadable / shareable. If you bought a license, you own the files on your phone, so you can do what you want with them for your personal use. I don't know if there's any difference between the files for Jolla phone and the ones for X.

Do you know in which directory the files are located and what they are called?

Sorry, I don't know fully how it works. The aliendalvik rpms, when installed, copy a bunch of files to your phone, (probably hundreds), like the whole /opt/alien/ directory, and a bunch of stuff in /usr and /etc. Ideally, you would want the rpms, which I would guess are somehow available, if you bought a license, but I never have... Maybe someone here knows, or maybe you can just ask Jolla...

I found there an instruction https://together.jolla.com/question/180434/any-legal-way-to-get-alien-dalvik-on-x-compact/ Unfortunately I am new in installing applications over command line. I think this command installs two files on the phone. Is this right? pkcon install-local aliendalvik-1.0.82-1.armv7hl.rpm apkd-android-settings-0.7.28-10.36.1.jolla.armv7hl.rpm Where can I fond this files? Thanks
