Save contacts and media from Whatsapp

Hello together,
lately I have received a lot of holiday pictures through Whatsapp and a couple of new contacts. How can I save the contacts? I know where to find the pictures manually on the drive, but is there a more elegant solution to see them in the gallery?

I have the latest build of Whatsapp and SFOS stable on a J1 installed.
About images, you can use some android gallery app like QuickPic or AA Image Viewer or default android gallery. Another way is to copy or move them from their original location which is "/home/nemo/android_storage/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images" to some location which is scanned by sailfish gallery
Dharmendra63 ( 2018-05-05 14:17:16 +0300 )editI once researched how the facebook-category is added to the sailfish gallery to create something like a script/ patch or whatever to implement a whatsapp category into the native sailfish gallery app. It can't be a problem to add a link to the Whatsapp Image folder. I managed to make a symlink between the WhatsApp image folder and the sailfish image folder, but as you say: there has to be a more elegant way.

Apply the app in Patchmanager 2 and go to Configuration, open Tracker and add the folder of WhatsApp and others folders to Documents, photos... So open your Gallery see the photosWhatsApp
