Screen not responding, showing red led [duplicate]

Yesterday my Sailfish X went totally unresponding while using native web browser. Red led turned on and all I was able to do was to turn screen on and off using hardware button. Device never recovered and I had to restart it using volume buttons and on/off button.

Same has happened to me once before and twice to my girlfriend. However, before device has recovered automatically after 15-30 minutes. During the recovery red led has started first blinking and then device has rebooted automatically.

Had similiar issue with Jolla 1, thankfully I could remove the battery for fast reboot. Soon after, new firmware update bricked my Jolla 1. Made reflash, and now all is fine. For me I think one of the apps from "warehouse" caused the problem.

same thing has happen to me with Sailfish X three times when trying to take and send a picture with Telegram. When this happens the phone gets hotter, so apparently the processor gets stuck at 100%. Restart with volume button is the only way to get the phone responsive again

The sailfish-browser is the problem here. There are many websites at this point that will crash lipstick and cause a phone reboot, which is downright ridiculous. You should add the website you were visiting to the wiki in this link: https://together.jolla.com/question/7367/wiki-unsupportedproblematic-websites-in-sailfish-browser/

We can only hope the outdated browser will see a major version bump in version 2.2.
