Dutch is done, again thanks to @DylanVanAssche for already doing most of the work.

By the way, the latest couple of locale requests over here have gone unanswered: https://together.jolla.com/question/134467/official-announcement-translate-sailfish-os-elections-of-community-languages-linguists/?sort=latest#sort-top

(I think the notification system may have broken for that thread, as I don't get any notifications on it anymore.)

@nthn Thanks :p Well I was curious (again) about the new stuff :p The Sailfish Secrets component is really nice and handy for devs !

Abt 5.5 hours left with May in FI. Not any 2.2.0 sofar. Jolla has excellent company's information policy ; i.e. no information of anything at all. Also how with unseen equipment as a result from chinese SFOS consortion. Really, unseen equipment. :) :)

Damn it! 2.2.0 has became while complaning. How about with complaning with the missing smart watch? Heh heh ...

Hi again,

Here's some update of the progress. There are already quite a few completed languages! Thank you for that! Then there are 5 untouched languages, but there's still time to do more translations.

We will start processing the translations tomorrow morning at 9.00 am Finnish time at the earliest. There are some languages with multiple suggestions for 1 string. If possible, please choose only 1 for each string. Otherwise, we will have to do it tomorrow so that we can make a localisation release. If you see mistakes or you want to change something later, you will be able to do it in the next release scheduled for later.

But thank you all once again for your valuable help!

Regards,

Jarkko

Hi I did some translations for portuguese, and they were accepted, but now I just notice, there's a error with one, and another I would like to change. How do I contact the aprover, or should I just make another sugestion ? These are the links: https://translate.sailfishos.org/pt/sailfish-secrets-ui/translate/#filter=translated&unit=433514 and https://translate.sailfishos.org/pt/sailfish-secrets-ui/translate/#filter=translated&unit=433536 Edit: last link should be ok, just the first I mispelled a word, "muita", should be "muito"

Thanks João

Hi,

You can always make a new suggestion, but now the strings seem to be ok (muito, not muita)

Jarkko

@jahonen: This is perhaps only loosely related. Still: Some of the new strings seem a tad clumsy to me.
E.g. there is the string 'Enter the collection lock code to unlock the collection.'.
Could'nt that be more succinctly written as 'Enter lock code to unlock'?

Is there any discussion channel for wording and translation style? For the above string, for example, it would help to know the UI context (e.g. if there is only one thing you could unlock right now - the collection, making the word collection in the string superflous).

Hi,

I would say this is the only place for discussing wordings and translation styles. In the sentence above you can translate it into your language to be better language than the original. Your suggestion is better, but since we have a tight schedule here I would not change the source at this point.

Hi, as @jahonen said " this is the only place for discussing wordings and translation styles", I have a question to @martonmiklos and other hungarian translators of the project: I've noticed, that some words in hungarian language that (in my opinion) are incorrect are accepted as correct. Example: master key: mester kulcs in my opinion should be one word, mesterkulcs. Here you can test it: Külön vagy egybe?. If I am wrong, please correct me! Thanks!

Well it depends on your (Hungarian) rules. 5 min of duckduckgo: spaces in words, Hungarian regulatory body and as a bonus: a test of 100 questions :P

@jahonen: Thanks for your reply!
I will open a wiki question to collect such strings then. Maybe it will be of some use once you can fit in some text polishing time into your schedule :)

@Zgp Thanks for the correction I will fix it ASAP.

Hi all,

Thanks for your great work again! Yes, the schedule is very tight again, but it's usually L10N that has to wait till last minute to get everything ready for translations. But the schedules are not always written in stone, more like a humble request :)

Regards,

Jarkko
