Hi, I launched the update process and my phone is now stuck with a message screen saying "Sailfish OS could not be updated. Please try again later" and below "Reboot". Problem is that the phone does not react to power button pressing or anything else... any suggestions? Let the battery drain?

Did you try Power Button + Volume Up for min. 5s to reboot? It should vibrate if succesfull.

Unfortunately there do appear to have been a number of such instances over the last 48 hours if you scroll down this older thread:link text If you use terminal to update rather than UI, can get a better idea of any error messages.

Yes, power button+Volume Up helps. It boots back to old system. When I tell to reinstall the system, the story repeats: "Sailfish cannot be updated". Thanks for hints, I'll investigate and try to update using terminal.

Hello I had the very same issue. The answer in this thread worked perfectly for me : https://together.jolla.com/question/143938/bug-sailfish-os-could-not-be-updated/?answer=143946

Hope this helps.

It worked, thanks. Only in notification I still have "System update available". Does not want to go away...

@Marius go to /home/nemo/.cache/store-client and remove os-info. then try to look for new update.
