wlan tethering in 2.2

Has anything changed in 2.2 regarding wlan tethering?

2.1.4 was working fine, but in 2.2, I can create the network and connect, but not access the internet.

I can ping the hotspot, but nothing past, so it seems to not be forwarding packets.

Anyone else confirm?

Hopefully, sailfish isn't honouring the internet providers tethering contracts, as ive been successfully tethering for years without having it as a feature on my contract!

On my Jolla 1 with 2.2.0.29 tethering works ok. Without any issue.

Ok, that's good to know. Out of interest, are you supposed to be able to tether on your contract?

im going to have to do some more testing .... its working now, not sure if it was due to manually enabling ip forwarding or not!

Holy bloody hell. I found the root cause.

My problem is that jolla actually connected using IPv6, but that wasn't forwarded to tethering.

So I changed mobile data mode to 'IP' from 'Dual' (in UI), and magically it works. All my android apps started to work while on mobile as a bonus!
