Disable option for shutter button in Xperia X

Hello, I managed to destroy the shutter button in my Xperia X. It is very sensitive and starts camera app once in awhile while holding phone. And it will quite annoyingly then cast aside the app I was using. I know I'm in marginal here with broken button... but wouldn't harm anyway as an option to disable button (or even better to be able to change its behaviour).
You certainly are in a minority with that little problem. The way I see it, you either delve into the OS and find the file that controls that button and disable its function or buy a new button and physically repair it, assuming the switch/cable behind it is not totally smashed....or wait for Jolla to jump in and create a solution, like disabling the hardware button within Settings, but I fear you will be drawing on your pension before that happens! ;)
