Hello,

I reflashed my Sony Xperia X single SIM with 2.2.0.29, and naturally I had to reinstall all my applications, too. I installed Android support, Yalp Store and a bunch of apps, and everything works, but Shazam version 8.4.1-180315 applicatiom icon seems to be missing. I can launch the app as expected, so this is purely cosmetic issue.

Removing and reinstalling the application does not help. Are there any other apps that have the icon missing? Is there some kind of icon cache I clould flush?

Thanks!

Edit: Just to clarify; the launcher item is in its place, but the icon of the thing is missing. I should have attached a screenshot in the first place, so here goes.

Blank launcher icon.

My issue is different, and I still could not find any duplicate question of my issue. I attached a screenshot to illuatrate the issue better.

Okay, I've installed a few android apps and found the launcher icons are stored in;

/var/lib/apkd

I couldn't get shazaam to even start installing.

I'll have a look at the launcher and the folder, thanks.

I have a fresh flashed SFOSX and my Shazam works as expected. Yours doesn't start, but do you have the icon there?

No, I literally couldn't get the installation to advance. As soon as I tapped "install", I got 2 error notifications at the same time. Something about Android SDK version and the usual "failed to install", so, no, no shazaam at all, no folders/icons/files. Also, I should have said that I am also still using Jolla1, but the file structure shouldn't be too disimilar.

One possibility is to copy icon file from for examble Jolla C to Xperia. That worked for me even tought i had to use chmod 644 to give it same permissions as other icon files in /var/lib/apkd folder and restart phone.

Hmm... I could check the .apk contents, if the icon is there, but the extraction failed or something...

Turns out it wasn't at the time.
