Can't change ActiveSync interval

I run 2.2.0.29 (Mouhijoki) on an Xperia X and can't change the interval of an existing ActiveSync Account.

What I do:

1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Microsoft Exchange > Sync Schedule -> set to e.g. "Twice a day", go back to "Accounts"
2. Open the same account again

Expected result: "Sync Schedule" set to "Twice a day"

Actual result: the old setting (in my case "Manually") is set

Is this a known issue? Any idea how to work around this?
