The camera and gallery apps are both inable to correctly adjust to tilts of my phone. Orientation stays in portrait mode all the time. Orientation is set to dynamic in settings. It was not a problem before as i have taken pictures earlier today. Problem occurred right after update to 2.2.0. Thank you for your help.

Okay, silly question time; have you rebooted the device since the update?, if not, please do so and report back here with the outcome. If rebooting doesn't solve anything, I would suggest reinstalling camera and gallery app.

There are no silly questions, especially not on the internet or when helping strangers. ;-) I've restarted the device twice after the update yesterday and the orientation of camera and gallery were still fixed and not dynamic as usual. However, this morning I've tried out the functionality again (without prior restart) and everything was back to normal. To be quite honest, I have absolutely no idea what happened but I am happy that it has stopped to malfunction. Will close the question now. :-)

Cool, glad you got sorted, even if you/we don't know how/why :)

I had similar issue a few days ago. Orientation was locked and some apps started as upside down. Tried to reboot and solve the issue but nothing helped. I got a bit annoyed of the issue so I knocked the front glass a bit and somehow it was back to normal. Can't say for sure whether it could have gone wrong on some drop or something. But it works now :D
