When will Intex offer an OS update für Aqua Fish?
Does someone know, whether and when Intex will offer an update for Aqua Fish. They offer the update usually with a delay, but it seems to be rather long for Sailfish OS 2.2.0. Maybe someone of Jolla is reading this question, who has contact to their - at least former - partner.
I thought Intex has discontinued AquaFish.
And wasn' there some lawsuit that prevented them selling any phones, regarding some trademark issue with some competitor...?
I would be surprised if they still are in the business.
juiceme ( 2018-07-12 14:34:09 +0300 )editwhy wait for the update when u can enable developer mode, use terminal and voila. show int@x the middle finger.

@juiceme Intex offered the last official release Lapuanjoki. That’s why I expect, that Intex will offer the recent update Mouhijoki,
@hardy_magnus Sounds good. How? I can only see the option for developer rleases in the settings, but I would need a username and password and a SSU domain. You mention terminal. Should I establish a SSH session and use a terminal command for the update? It’s my productive phone, so I don’t want to break it.
If would be nice, if someone of Jolla could say something about the partnership of Intex and their support of their Sailfish OS device.
jsommer ( 2018-07-13 11:30:45 +0300 )editjsommer: updates for AquaFish are always delayed compared to original Jolla hw-s. Sometimes only a few days, sometimes months, but sooner or later it comes (at least it was like this until now).
Artemys ( 2018-07-13 15:27:28 +0300 )edit@jsommer: pal, updating fish through terminal is very easy. 1) enable developer mode in settings. donot enable developer updates because it requires username and password. 2) then enable remote connection and set root password in the developer section in settings. 3) after enabling developer mode you will get terminal in your device, now open it and you are 3 commands away from the update. 4) open terminal then ” devel -su”. give the root password. 5) ”ssu re 2.2.0.29” 6) ”version --dup” incase any of this doesnot make sense then open the link https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201836347-How-do-I-download-and-install-a-System-Update-Sailfish-OS-update-?mobile_site=true
the method is safe. good luck.
