Fingerprint unlock freeze [answered]

Has anyone else bumped into this: unlocking with fingerprint does not unlock the phone but freezes it?

Locking and re-activating the phone with power button usually fixes this but it means I need to activate the phone twice almost everytime.

This is very similar to the situation we had with double-tap: https://together.jolla.com/question/169078/howto-enable-double-tap-to-lockscreen-gesture-on-sailfishx/

I had the double-tap activated but disabled it to solve this situation. Unfortunately it did not help.

Any idea how to fix this?

I think you have LPM enabled? It is known issue, try disable LPM, the problem will solve

I had this issue without LPM, so I decided to remove the mce-tools pakage:

mcetool --reset-settings

zypper rm mce-tools

The problem is back :(

LPM disable helped for a while but now situation is the same.

I had this issue with LPM enable and double-tap enable. Disabling double-tap (but keeping LPM) solved the problem for me.

Thanks @phklrz and others, I tried this again and now it has been working for a week so must be ok for good. ☺

LPM disabled, double-tap disabled.
