For better usability time of the phone and accuracy in navigation, it would be great to have a setting to enable external bluetooth gps devices. I hope that several different devices will be supported (Bluegps -driver is the one my device uses).

Technical comment: We use GeoCluebut we don't have gypsy on device as we wire straight to the android HAL within it. Source code of GeoClue at https://github.com/nemomobile-packages/geoclue

https://github.com/nemomobile-packages/geoclue/tree/master/geoclue/providers may also be handy

git for bluegps https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/tree/master/comms/bluegps

In android, external devices are enabled first via a setting enabling "mock location", then via appications option to choose the location source

I support! I also used external GPS receiver on my N9 phone and it worked perfectly. At this moment I can't use my Jolla during my travelling.

None is supported yet, maybe too marginal user base at this point. But still hoping to see them supported one day
