We have an office365 subscription at work and fetching e-mails has worked until the username was changed this weekend. The problem is that, on my Sailfish X device, changes to the username is not applied to the authentication for the account. It is changed In the Username field on the “Edit server settings” screen and the change persists over reboots. But on the overview, where all accounts can be seen, the old username is still shown under the account name and e-mail application says “Problem with sync” and last sync time is 3 days ago (when the username was changed on the backend). The problem persists through reboot.

Edited to explain the issue better

Have you gone to Settings > Accounts > Choose your Exchange account > Pull down to reveal menu > Edit server settings? You will find the entry for the User Name there.

Yes, that was what I was referring to by “edit screen”. Will edit the question to be (hopefully) more clear.

Try removing the account and then make the changes when you add the account.

I have found this to be the best way, scrap it, start again.

That's not relevant. It's a workaround and not a fix. I don't want to have to set up the account from scratch, just because there's a bug in the system.

Just for info, that's what I did when it didn't work the first time and off course it worked.

Yes, it's a work around and can be inconvenient.

Yes, it's also probably a bug. I've had similar bugs with other OS's too.

It's not often you need to change account details and the accounts aren't that hard to set up. Having said that Sailfish is very young and as it matures these bugs should disappear.

It is a bug, I can repeat it consistently. This is not a support question but a bug report and a suggestion for a workaround is not an answer. If the workaround does work (of which you have no idea) it is legible as an answer.

And just because other platforms has similar bugs (or because Sailfish is a young platform), this doesn't disqualifies bug reports for Sailfish. :)

I agree it is a bug, I never said it wasn't. I expect it will get fixed, until then I've suggested a work around which will probably get you out of your predicament. I was trying to be helpful. That's what this site is about. How is that not an answer?
