Shared Bluetooth pictures not available in Android apps [duplicate]

When pictures are shared over Bluetooth from non-Sailfish devices (Windows Phone, Android etc...) to a Sailfish device (Xperia X), the native apps and Gallery are able to view these pictures successfully. However, when trying to view the pictures via Android apps (Whatsapp, LINE, WeChat etc...) and their own built-in gallery features, they are not rendered correctly. I noticed that the shared Bluetooth pictures are located in nemo. So, I moved them to the SD card's Pictures directory, as that is where all other photos are stored when taken with the camera. This allowed me to view the photos correctly in the Android apps. So, why are they not accessible to Android apps from the nemo directory?

This also means that the original asker's fix (moving to the SD card) is just a lucky random chance coincidence :

I presume that the asker has the card formatted in something that doesn't support access rights (e.g.: he kept an SDHC in the original FAT32 format).
Thus the moment the file is copied over, the access rights get lost in the transition.

The fix wouldn't work with any partition that support access rights such as EXT4, F2FS, UDF (e.g.: I've reformatted my SDXC to BTRFS).

@DrYak - Incorrect. My SD card is formatted to F2FS.
