[Jolla C] "Media player not found"

I use the podcatcher app on a Jolla C as well as a Jolla I to DL some podcasts and listen to them later. The podcast is handed over to the SFOS media player. Everything worked well until yesterday. I made the DL and wanted to listen to it but after a short while the message "The Media palyer cannot be found" was displayed at the top of the screen. Neither Re-Installing both the player as well as the podcatcher app nor a Restart of the device was a solution. In contrast, everything still works smoothly on the Jolla I device,
Any ideas to solve this nasty problem?
Moreover - the media player app does not start again when I stopped the podcast and hit the start button again. I am forced to touch the timeline to start it again - in both devices. Bug or feature?
