What became of 'Sailfish Secure'?

I just watched a YouTube video from three years ago announcing development of something called 'Sailfish Secure.' Given the lack of privacy on the internet and particularly in mobile telephones, where Google harvests whatever it wants through its operating system, a secure alternative is more important than ever now that Blackberry is gone. But I can't find any details having to do with the secure version of Sailfish OS. Does anyone know whether it's still in the offing, or was it for some reason abandoned?

remember when they announced they will only do software from now on? back then they said they are splitting into a software and a hardware section. probably the same happened with s.secure

I've read that they switched from Sailfish to another OS or system because the drivers used by SailfishOS where closed source and where an security risk. I thought it has to do with Broadcom drivers. I've read it on twitter but can't find it right now....

This was new to me, the following link might be helpful as a background: https://www.gizmotimes.com/smartphones/sailfish-secure-open-secure-mobile-phone-platform/88

Sounded like an intriguing partnership and idea, shame it seems like it fizzled out.
