auto unlock sim card - don't ask for the sim pin

After booting the phone it asks to enter the lockscreen code (or fingerprint it) and then ask me for the sim PIN. Simple thing, the phone should just unlock the simcard on systemboot, wihout asking the user to enter the PIN.

Why? It is just annoying and useless, sometimes I reboot the phone and forgot for hours to enter the pin. Since I have to unlock the phone to use it, it should be secure enough for the phone to enter the sim pin itself. Even better, if someone else reboot the phone (e.g. I lost it, battery empty, someone find it, charge it, turn it on) it would be immediately online.

And NO, I don't want to disable the sim PIN, since this would be really wrong.

Yes, this would be a welcome enhancement IHMO. Storing the PIN in the keyring should be fairly easy and safe. And, of course, this should be optional and revokable.

Moderate enhancement! So I would like to use it.

I wrote a script that automatically enters the pin at startup. You can get it on Github. It runs as a user process and does not require to modify any system file, but you'll need a terminal (and hence developer mode) to install it.

@slowcyclist Could that be modified for dual-SIM? Can you identify which SIM is requesting?

In my case it's only SIM2 that has a PIN set, so presumably it would work for that as it is?

@DaveRo Thanks for the suggestion and for your help over this issue in the Github repo. I've committed a new version that works with dual sims. You can even choose in which order they connect and specify a delay between the two.
