I've got several problems with Google.

One: The only app that I really need from Android is my bank (Rabobank) and I wish there was a way to get it without needing Google Play. I can get the rest from F-droid. Is there a way to get this app via other means?

Two: Can I use the Yalp store instead of the Android store?

Three: If yes, how do I remove the Android store?

Four: I have downloaded google play services and google play store. Now I'm getting constant messages on every app that "Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped" and the message that "Account Action Required". What do I do to stop this without reinstating my account?

Five: How do I remove google play services and google play store? Attempting to purge them on 'System app safe remover' or 'Yalp store' gives me the message: "This option is only available on rooted devices."

Six: How can I remove gaana as well?

So far I have:

-- One --

  • Download aptoide from website
  • Search for 'Rabobank bankieren'

-- Six --

Settings -> Developer mode -> turn on Remote connection, to see password.

Open terminal.
devel-su
enter password
pkcon refresh
pkcon install zypper
zypper se gaana
zypper re [packagename]

And I recieve an error at zypper se gaana saying that packagekit blocks gaana.

android store.is not.google.play

i.think you aee mixing.things up

you are trying.andeoid removal.apps or?

if you turn off android support... i mean stop it. google.services, if you did installed them, are not running anyway so why bother ?

One:Latest Version of the Rabobank app you can get in Aptoide store: https://rabo-bankieren.en.aptoide.com/

Don't worry… I am using Aptoide store and also Apkpure store since some years already without any problems.

Two/Three/Four/Five: In case you don't need this Gaana stuff on your Intex… why you don't make your Aqua Fish to a Jolla C (on your own risk and you should be familiar with terminal usage). The how-to you can find here in TJC and you as well always would get the latest updates.

@pawel

"android store.is not.google.play"

I know. That's why three and five are seperate questions.

"i.think you aee mixing.things up"

I doubt that.

"you are trying.andeoid removal.apps or?"

I tried 'System app safe remover' or 'Yalp store'. That's in my question. I have tried 'android remove apps' as well.

"if you turn off android support... i mean stop it"

I have no idea what you mean here.

"google.services, if you did installed them, are not running anyway so why bother ?"

Because it gives me error messages whenever I open an app. That is also in my question.

Again: One:The direct link to your app is as already pasted in my comment: https://rabo-bankieren.en.aptoide.com/

Two/Three/Four/Five/Six:

I don't believe that Intex will release another update anymore (of course I can be wrong). For testing and just playing a bit with SFOS I have an Aqua Fish which I have reimaged to a Jolla C just one week ago by using this how-to: https://together.jolla.com/question/148893/how-to-make-aqua-fish-to-think-its-jolla-c-not-modem/

And of course it still would be on your own risk... however I didn't have any problem to do it.

At least for me it was quit easy and fast to do it. The correct download link for the Jolla C package you can find in the second answer of the how-to thread. And since you did already a pkcon refresh the script in part 1 will work. Just confirm removing the packages mentioned while running the script.

In case you don't want to flash your device I can't help you anymore. I just never would try to remove single packages from the Aqua Fish. This doesn't make sense. Now I have a very clean SFOS on the Aqua Fish with the latest update from last week. It couldn't be better ;).

I managed to get Aqua re-imagining itself to think it's Jolla C with the ugly red colors, Google settings and no Gaana. So that solved problem six. The android store is still there.

[edit] I see now. I can remove them all with Power Clean from the Jolla store.

If you are talking about the Android Store which is is called "Store" then you could remove it as well via "My Apps" in the Jolla Store. Problem "Four" and "Five" should be solved as well since you now have a Google free phone.

Summary:

1) Rabo Bank app you have ==> solved

2) Yalp Store ==> not needed since you don't need another Android app ==> solved

3) Android Store ==> removed ==> solved

4) Google Play Store / Services ==> gone due to fresh installation with Jolla C image ==> solved

5) See 4) ==> solved

6) Gaana App ==> gone due to fresh installation with Jolla C image ==> solved

Congratulations ;)
