Note: I did some research, here, on jolla.com and the internet, but could not find a definite answer to this question. If I missed it somewhere and this is a duplicate, I am happy for a pointer :)

Hey sailors, long time no see..... After 4 years of Jolla 1 and a nearly 1y (not-so-happy) comeback to Android, I am planning my comeback to SailfishX/3 right now. However, I am not sure which devices are supported by SailfishX at the moment and will be in future. I've seen different statements by TJC users regarding that, but they are partially contradictory or assumptive, and might be outdated.

From what I read, my understanding is that there is support for Xperia X single and dual sim, and there will be (soon?) support for Xperia XA2. But what about e.g. Xperia X compact? Will it work, too? Any other models/brands to consider? Will SF3 bring support for other devices?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Not an answer, but I would love to know something about devices and SF3. My Jolla (1) is getting a bit old and tired. ;)

Officially supported devices are Xperia X F5121 and F5122. There has been promised official support for Xperia XA2.

All other devices are possibly supported by the community, and SailfishOS functionality is limited. More info here.

More detailed topic on devices, history included, you can find here.

Thanks for your response. So it's really just Xperia X with single and dual SIM for now (no other Xperia X*). And probably XA2 in the near future, for the patient ones.

Thanks for the additional links - I've had problems with a community build already (that's why I have been using Android ;-)), so I'd like to go for an official build this time

The generic answer to your question always was here at TJC. BTW, seaching diligently helps!
