[bug] Bluetooth disconnection causes phone (or UI?) to reboot/crash. My cars (VAG) bluetooth is kinda working with Nurmijoki (I can make HF calls from MFD, but not via phone or through the touchscreen)

Anyways - when I leave the car and after a few minutes take a look at the phone screen - all apps have closed, so I suspect that the phone has either rebooted or the UI has crashed (uptime is sometimes near 0, sometimes not???)

This happens allmost 100% of times when exiting the car. Otherwise the phone is stable.

Phone is F5122/Nurmonjoki and this has been happening with (at least) three last SFOS versions

@ehakkarainen:

  1. Does the reboot occur at the moment of turning the car engine off (if yes, is the phone connected to a car charger at that moment)?
  2. Is there a reboot if you leave the car engine running (or at least the electricity switched on so that Bluetooth system of the car is still alive) and go some 20-30 meters away from your car, i.e. you go out of the reach of the car Bluetooth?

I had similar reboots several times as I am experimenting with BT very often recently.

I had the same thing with PA 11.1 on the desktop (desktop did not reboot, but pulse and bluez crash). I think one of those is also responsible for the phone to reboot.

Since I updated the desktop to PA 11.99 it works perfect. I opened a question here for compiling 11.99 for Sailfish X, but someone suggested that it is even better to go for 12.2.

Thanks for the tips - I will test and investigate further

After extensive testing - it is not the power source - in 3.0.0.8 the same bug is still present allthough the crash frequency is much less - now to phone crashes only 1/10 times I exit the car.

The bug is much related to the BT counterpart - I have 3 other bluetooth headsets, but none of the other cause this - so it seems to be a VAG car BT related issue

I have the same problem with a Volkswagen Golf. Bluetooth works, but many times when I have turned off the car, the phone has booted (Xperia X with latest 3.1.0.11). I haven't seen this with other bluetooth devices.
