Hi, I have an issue with the Spotify app (Android version) that I haven't found an answer for on the forum and today me trying to solve that issue gave me more problems...

The Spotify issue: When I download podcasts from the producers The Guardian or Gimlet Media these can not be played. The problem started in the end of June / beginning of July. Podcasts produced by other companis / institutions works perfectly fine but not these two. I have been in contact with Spotify suport and they have not been able to recreate the issue on their end on other devices leadning me to think it might be a Sailfish issue?

Further problems: So far I have tried clearing the Spotify cashe, reinstalling Spotify and updating Spotify on different occastions. I have also checked that I have the latest version of Sailfish (Nurmonjoki).
Today I thought I should try uninstalling Spotify and then reinstalling the android suport for Sailfish and the Spotify app. However, the Spotify app will not uninstall and after installing the Spotify app, when I try to install the Android Store, the store doesn't show up as an app on my "desktop". What am I doing wrong?

I have a Sony Xperia in case that makes a difference.

Have anyone else encountered these issues and found a solution?

Thank you,

Eva

I'm not sure if I downloaded the right podcasts. When I search "The Guardian" there are a lot of matches. Are you talking about "the guardian.com" ? When I look for "Gimlet" there is for example "Reply all". I downloaded an episode and had no problems to listen to it.

Hi Dirksche, I am sorry for the late reply, the last few weeks has been a bit hectic. The podcast "Reply All" would be one of the ones I have issues with. Other Gimlet podcats that I also have issues with are "Every Little Thing" and "Science Vs". Examples of Gurardian podcasts would be "The Guardian's Audio Long Reads", "The Guardian's Brexit Means...", "Small Changes" and "The Guardian's Science Weekly". The issue only happen when I have both Spotify and my phone in offline mode? (Which, for me, is any time I go out the front door.)

Hi, I am still having this issue and it has now "spread" podcasts from more producers. Is there no one else who have encountered this problem?
