As @vattuvarg already stated, you'll need a new licence for Sailfish XA2 if you already have installed your former licence on Xperia X. This is due to the fact that the licence is bonded to device IMEI and Jolla won't transfer it unless special condition (broken device etc)

You can take a Sailfish's own backup. It backups only contacts, gallery, sms etc. Transfering a whole Sailfish ecosystem from Xperia X to a brand new XA2 isn't probably possible since I think they'll have different implementations. Anyway, if you're interested in having a image file backup of Sailfish, take a look at this question: https://together.jolla.com/question/176959/complete-flashable-image-of-the-os-as-backup/.
