I had to reset my phone. Everythink is fine except Facebook. The Gallery app shows the Facebook account but deactivated with zero images. How can I sync the fotos? I have aready made a tracker reset via ssh. Deleting and recreating the account doesn't help either. Some ideas?

I did some research on this issue:

  1. Removing and creating the Facebook account
  2. Triggering a synchronisation in the contextual menue of the Facebook account
  3. Removing sync files like described in this thread.

The I logged into the Facebook website and removed Sailfish and recreated the account on my Sailfish phone. I realized, that the app deosn't have the access rights for Fotos any more. See the screenshot:

Here is an example of another app, that has the appropriate access rights:

The reason is, that Facebook allows access to their API only after a review process of an app. Their have made this review process mandatory this summer.

I know this, because, my company had to pass the review process for our app in this summer either.

So: Jolla, could you please take some minutes for logging into your Facebook developer account, klicking on "App Review" in left menu bar, filling the form and starting the review process?

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this. This review process was started a few weeks ago, but hasn't been approved yet. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon, and this should start working again.
