Today I realised, that all photos of mms are not shown any more. Is it possible to reload them? Resetting the media database didn't resolve this issue?

One more information: I had to reset my phone and load the data from the backup. Maybe this is a bug and the photos of MMS are not included in the backup or properly restored. In this case, this would be a bug.

Maybe the photos are somewhere, but I have to flash any index of the the message database.

You might have checked already, but just to make sure: The pictures are stored in /home/nemo/.local/share/commhistory/data/ and its sub-directories.

Chances are that these files are, in fact, not part of the backup.

But maybe this directory was backed up/restored and only the relation between the messages as shown in the messages app and the data in the file system was corrupted?

Thanks for your reply! There is no data directory in commhistory. Just the following files:

-rw-r--r-- 1 nemo privileged 3890176 Oct 30 12:35 commhistory.db
-rw-r--r-- 1 nemo privileged 32768 Oct 30 17:14 commhistory.db-shm
-rw-r--r-- 1 nemo privileged 1913680 Oct 30 17:14 commhistory.db-wal

Maybe the reason is, that the photos are lost.

Unfortunately MMS attachments are not included in the normal backup: https://together.jolla.com/question/86350/backup-mms-attachments/

Thank your for clarification. So it would be a feature request to include all data of the standard apps in the backup. The backup would advantageously also include data of ohter apps. If not by default, apps may register to backup settings.

Maybe this feature has not a high priority, but I would appreciate to see this request on a list of potential improvements.
