When trying to update packages, Yalp Store gets stuck on "trying to log in with credentials provided by Yalp Store", and cannot retrieve updates anymore. It used to work OK previously. Are other users experiencing the same issue, or is it just me? Might this be related to the network issues in this question? Maybe an update in the Google Play Store API broke the app?

Sailfish X, 2.2.1.18, pre-Sailfish 3 update. I have tried deleting app cache and data already. Other Android apps that require network connection seem to work fine.

I dunno why but I'm experiencing the same problem right now. Doesn't work on Jalla C and Jolla Tablet both with SFOS 3

It happens once in a while. Try again later.

yalp's own account didn't work for me either but mine google account worked just fine (using both Xperia X & X Compact, with sailfish 3 update)

@Giacomo Di Giacomo Tried again later, and it still doesn't work. @ahjolinna The whole point of Yalp for me was being able to grab apps from Play Store without having to use my Google account, so this workaround is completely unsatisfactory for me.

For me it is working again right now.

Fake accounts are not available at the moment. Google has probably cleaned up unwanted users again. It has nothing to do with SFOS. With Lineage OS, the fake accounts of Aurora and Yalp also don't work.

Lets renew this thread. I'm using Xperia X with latest SFOS. I can't log in with a yalp account like I used to. Is there a workaround or maybe a different app I could use? Aptoide is not an option

It seems Yalp's built-in Google account is blocked, so all you can do is to use a different one.

Yes, you'll need your own account. Create a new dummy one to avoid risking your main account blocked, and use that (unless you have paid apps). AuroraStore is also a nice one.

@AN Aurora Store does not work on the Xperia X --- Android version too old.

@Federico you are right. I tried to install Aurora. It did not work. @ziellos@AN thanks for this solution

From what i have read you have to create an google account and enable 2FA and create a dedicated app password when logged in. Otherwise there may be a captcha to solve which yalp/aurora can't dosplay right now.

I would use tor browser to create the account (javascript has to be enabled sadly) and use orbot to proxy aurora/yalp traffic through tor.(not tested)
