Hi. I tried to update my Jolla Tablet as soon as SailFishOS 2.2.1.18 came out, but it hang during restart and I wasn't able to do anything about it, until I recently found Andrey's [coderus] instructions to flash it. So I did and successfully reached 2.2.0.9.

And again when trying to update to 2.2.1.18 it failed with the same result.

Today I tried it again when I received the notification about the release of v. 3.0.0.8 (instead of 2.2.1.18). I tried to upgrade, but again failed.

I am stuck now. Maybe somebody has similar experiences and can help me? Thank you!

Same here, hope someone has a solution or JollaHQ can explain when the support for the Jolla Tablet will be tested and ready.

My Jolla C can't even find the update. It's currently at 2.2.0.29

Which instruction from Coderus do you mean? Strange that you even were not able to go for 2.2.1.18.

Update failed for one of my tablets as well and it is looping now until screen with Intel logo after trying update from 2.2.1.18 to 3.0.0.8.

Since one tablet I have already bricked I am afraid now to start the update for the second tablet.

Was anybody able to update the tablet from 2.2.1.18 to 3.0.0.8? If yes, via UI or via command line?

EDIT Nov. 10th, 2018: After factory reset in Recovery Mode and just basic installation and configuration the update was successful after two update steps. First step was 2.2.0.29 and reboot took quiet a while until the device was back. Second step was 3.0.0.8 and during the update itself there was no progress bar. It was just a question of patience until the update was finished. Just don't touch the device until it has been booted. During the update you just can see a dark grey screen which indicates that something is happening.

Result: SFOS3 on the tablet feels fantastic and it is still one of the best Sailfish experience ever beside of SailfishX on the Xperia X.

Looking forward to the XA2 (Plus) in December when the final version has been released ;)
