Request: add patches to vpnc to support VPN to Fritz Box

The vpnc binary that ships with Sailfish OS does not support the IPSEC variant that the Fritz Boxes implement for VPN access (access from the internet to your home network). Remember that in some countries these routers have a market share of 50%.

For seven years already, patches have been available for vpnc to change this. It seems that vpnc is not really developed any more and so there are probably no upstream changes.

See details here: https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=92338 The binary that is available from that TMO page is working on Sailfish OS 2 and 3 (just tested with Sailfish X).

It can't be configured from the Sailfish VPN GUI, though. The default.conf that is described on the TMO page is working.

Regards, Dietmar

For me it is also important to get access to my FritzBox! Then I can hopefully use the FritzBox VoIP app.

I'm waiting for VoIP since 13.11.2013 now.

Hi there, yes would be nice to have a working Sailfish X native method to connect to the fritz.box VPN service each of the big OS's have this without any problems - for me it's kind of a bummer, that Sailfish X can't do this in a easy way ... :(

Hope, there will be a fix soon - this is essential!
