Phone crashing when using VPN

I set up VPN on my phone (JC/AF). After connection, phone is freezing and promptly rebooting. Connection is then restored shortly after reboot - which causes the phone to freeze and crash again.

Not sure if that matters, but I'm connecting over L2TP.
