Thank you Sailfish team for hard work, and keep it up, but I am kind of afraid to update SF2 to SF3 at the moment. =)

su-devel? Is there a difference to devel-su?

@dirksche: just checked with ll /usr/bin/su-devel
it's just a symlink to devel-su. Kinda like it, might be easier to type with autocomplete

doing pkcon refresh before running other such commands seems to work quite well.

Yes, it is wise to refresh and update packages before upgrading, like in any other distros. Any other tips?

EDIT: See my comment regarding to shown version 3.0.0.8. I don't think system is really updated to that, but still on 3.0.0.5.

Seems your advice helped. I did many things but after pkcon -v update I have now:

but standard update command still returns old mistake

Also tried to do downgrade so - no success

Did you sent a support request to jolla?

I have opened service request about this now. Btw, there is good tips what to try, but unfortunately none of these helped me (all openrepos disabled): https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005795474-Installing-an-OS-update-fails-download-worked-

WilbertS ( 2018-11-15 20:29:13 +0300 )edit

I'm confused. After trying different things, and version --dup never completed nor packages were updated, version number is updated to 3.0.0.8. e.g. in terminal and Settings/About Product. Ssu release was always reverted back to 3.0.0.5 after failed upgrade. (or was it, could that has effect what version is shown?)

WilbertS ( 2018-11-16 10:49:20 +0300 )edit

And Jolla Support replied that 3.0.0.8 has not been distributed to Aqua Fish yet. Well, I think Aqua Fish is officially in 2.1.4.14 level, and personally I'm not so confident we never get any updates beyond that.

o.k. 2 Years are left after the last post. Does someone know something new? Is it possible to update the aquafish?

My version is the 3.0.1.11 after this its not possible to update more - in my opinion.

I updated my Intex Aqua Fish to the latest release week ago so it's possible.
