The 'Backup' menu in Settings needs to be entered twice to actually get the menu.

Every first attempt to open the Backup menu, I see the following message;

Upon swiping back to Settings and then tapping on Backup again, I get to see my memory card listed.

If I leave Settings altogether and then open Settings again, scroll to Backup, tap it, I see the same 'error' message as shown above, every time.

Sailfish 3.0.0.8 ~ Jolla1

Persists in Sipoonkorpi 3.0.1.11

Problem fixed for me on Jolla1 with Oulanka 3.0.2.8, seems others are still seeing this problem

I also have it, 3.0.0.8 on Xperia X F5121.

That line also occurred in the update process from the EA 3.0.0.5 to 3.0.0.8 where the user is asked to perform a backup, which lead me to upgrading without backup. Thus I presume this might occur for many new users when the next update is due in December.

Also when a backup is made to a SD card, it is mentioned as a backup of a 'unknown device'. That doesn't sound really professional. Please fic the naming issue too when you're fixing the double menu enter issue!

I don't see it any more on my Jolla1, which is why I closed the question, but @Spark has reopened. Good luck guys.

I also see it on J1 with 3.0.2.8, and it still works OK if you enter the menu twice, as described above.

On JollaC the same on 3.2.0.8. Seems it started for with 3.x.x.x as I remember only trying to make a backup on upgrading and it did not work (due to this behaviour) but entering backuo manually worked then.

I also have same behaviour with Sailfish X 3.0.2.8. I have to go twice to backup menu to memory card to be seen or I have go to storage menu and click memory card and then go backup menu. So there's probably something "wrong" with mounting the sdcard or compatibility issues.

Same issue on XA2 running 3.0.2.8

Now that I know this behaviour it is no problem for me. (I don't backup hourly ☺)
