Hi community

after the update to 3.0.0.8 I can no longer update any apps using the pkcon command line tool.

$ pkcon update

will fail with

Fatal error: File './armv7hl/droid-hal-version-f5121-0.2.1-1.2.20.armv7hl.rpm' not found on medium 'https://store-repository.jolla.com/releases/3.0.0.8/jolla-hw/adaptation-qualcomm-f5121/armv7hl/?credentials=store'

Anyone else experiencing similar problems/know a workaround?

Cheers J

do this first devel-su pkcon refresh then try devel-su pkcon update if packages require it. Permission is required to run these commands (devel-su your password)

Here's my output, albeit, I did refresh first without permission, hence the error;

[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ pkcon refresh
Refreshing cache
Finished
Fatal error: Failed to obtain authentication.
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ devel-su pkcon refresh
Password:
Refreshing cache
Starting
Refreshing software list
Finished
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ devel-su pkcon update
Password:
Getting updates
Finished
No packages require updating to newer versions.

Thanks mate, that (and a reboot) did the job.

Cool, welcome to TJC :)

Still wondering why this manual intervention is needed - could't packagekit just refresh it's repository metadata automatically instead ? Or some step of the upgrade that should do that was missed ? Or possibly the store does it but you have to do it yourself if you use Storeman or pkcon directly ? :)
