I am new to Sailfish and really need my work calendar to sync with my Xperia X using OS 3.0.0.8 using CalDAV. I filled in my username and password then my server address, unchecked CardDAV and put a / in Calendar Path, also tried to keep it blank or even unchecked it but nothing works. It says its active but doesn't show on my Calendar app.

Hi,

you need to provide us with more details, like which kind of CalDAV server are you trying to sync against?

Does your provider have a "help" page? Usually you'll find individual calDav information there.

I am trying to use my own Ubuntu server as a Caldav/Carddav server and I can connect to it via Mozilla Thunderbird on both linux and Windows but using the same settings (these are shown on the calendar/contacts page), I don't get any calendar shown on my Xperia (3.0.0.8) and nor do the contacts sync.

I should add that I'm using Owncloud 10 on Ubuntu.

Have you tried to add "/" in the Optional CalDAV path? After adding your user name, password and server.

@Veyah I deleted the account and started again. I simply entered the server address, my username and password with / as the calendar path. I unticked the CardDav entry and tried that to be met with the usual 'Oops, problem with account creation'.

Tried again, but this time with the path as https://ubuntunc/remote.php/dav/ and it appears to create the account for both CalDav and CardDav but even though I asked it to 'sync', no calendar ever appears in my list and nor does the list of contacts change.

Leaving the path empty is only woking, if the server and your client support autodiscover. Sailfish OS supports this (i need only the basic address with my Baikal-Server. If not, you can check the url in your browser to see, if this is correct. Usually it looks sth. like this:

http(s)://%DAVServerAddress%/calendars/%username%/%calendername%/

More information would be nice.

Which version of baikal-server are your use? I have version 0.2.6 and i have a calendar name entry under settings -> accounts -> caldav carddav. (Sorry, i use the german version und i have the phone not here) The calendar app has only entrys for personal and birthdays, but no entry from caldav server.

CardDav works fine.
