Since the Jolla C, Xperia X and now XA2 i have to do the same task every time: Partition resize.

Jolla created the /home Partition with 17.55G and /rootfs with 2.44G 2.44G is not enough for /rootfs Partition! This makes a lot of Problems when the Partition is getting full, no Software Updates are possible etc. Resize is possible with this manual:

SailfishOS Partition Resize

This Act is not noob-prrof and can cause file system damage or/and data loss when making wrong.

So please, Jolla let the /home be 12G and /rootfs 8G on new Devices....

how exactly you fill root partition? did you enabled extra logging? installed debuginfo/crashdump collector?

We also need the android partition wiped and then we can use full potential of whole internal memory. That's more important than rootfs size, because I' haven't any problem so far at least.

I'm pretty sure this is again limited by the partition scheme set by Sony themselves. I remember there was a similar case with Xperia X.

@Jk what is "android partition"?

@Toxip it uses lvm, so just go and resize it as you want in recovery.

@coderus yes you can actually modify the partitions yourself on the X too but I bet just like with the X the XA2 partitioning scheme is dictated by Sony so it's likely that this won't be changed or officially endorsed by Jolla. Everyone is of course free to tinker with their devices...
